‘There was chemistry’: Darshan Jariwala on Ranbir-Katrina’s Ajab Prem days, Salman’s cameo

When Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor met on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, reports hinted that off-screen, they were developing chemistry. Ranbir was allegedly dating Deepika Padukone at the time, while Katrina was reportedly in a relationship with Salman Khan, though neither actor confirmed these relationships publicly.

Actor Darshan Jariwala recently spoke about his experience working with the stars during the film’s shoot in Ooty. He recalled the film’s forty-day schedule and the lively atmosphere on set, praising the film's humor. Darshan also commented on Salman Khan’s cameo, calling it a "great casting coup." When the interviewer mentioned the reports linking Ranbir to Deepika and Katrina to Salman, Darshan clarified that he was unaware of their personal relationships.

He found the chemistry between Ranbir and Katrina undeniable, attributing it to their personal experiences and emotions. Darshan noted that Ranbir was exceedingly confident on set, while Salman simply brought his authentic self to the role. Katrina, he recalled, struggled with mispronunciations during the film’s political-themed scenes, often requiring Darshan and Ranbir to correct her lines. Despite the challenges, both actors remained good sports.
