Sungai Johor Bridge safe for use - SDEB

KOTA TINGGI: The Sungai Johor Bridge is safe for all road users, according to Senai-Desaru Expressway Bhd (SDEB). The bridge's technical team conducted inspections and assessments of the bridge's structural condition after a vessel drifted close to the bridge around 2.30pm today. The bridge's structure was found to be in a safe condition and can be crossed as usual.

SDEB emphasized that safety is always their top priority and they will continue to monitor the bridge structure's condition to ensure the safety of highway users. However, users are reminded to follow traffic regulations and any safety instructions issued. Earlier, several videos and pictures showed the incident went viral on Facebook, causing concern among highway users, but SDEB clarified that the bridge was indeed safe and not closed.
