The disciplinary measures include notice and caution for those who supported Deep-se's work, but no official disciplinary action such as dismissal or demotion will be taken. The investigation stems from concerns over a training program held by Deep-se last month, which suggested that "apartment theft cases where ownership is unclear may be classified as 'occupancy abandonment' rather than theft."

This has sparked controversy, as theft is considered a serious crime that affects performance metrics, while occupancy abandonment does not.

The police force's handling of the aftermath of Deep-se's training has been criticized, with allegations that occupancy abandonment was encouraged to inflate performance statistics. Following the training, there was a surge in occupancy abandonment incidents within the Seoul Gyeongnam District Office. The police force has promised to closely monitor performance management and conduct further education to prevent future violations.

They also plan to gather feedback from local police stations to propose improvements to the department's performance evaluation system.
