#SHOWBIZ: Ayu Damit watches her diet, avoids overworking

KUALA LUMPUR: Ayu Damit, the 37-year-old singer, was recently hospitalized for a mild case of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). She attributes her hospitalization to irregular eating habits, consuming foods she shouldn't have, or overworking. Ayu, whose real name is Norayu Damit, revealed that she is recovering well and is still on medication.

She has been required to undergo follow-up check-ups in two weeks to ensure her health is stable. Ayu mentioned that since the incident, she has had to cut back on snacks and sugary foods, eating regularly and reducing her snack and sugar intake. Despite her health issue, she emphasized that it won't stop her from accepting singing engagements as usual, provided she takes care of her health.

Ayu was hospitalized after experiencing shortness of breath and vomiting twice, with medical examinations revealing gallstones and fibroids as contributing factors to her abdominal pain.
