Secretary to the President hints at reshuffle of Chief Executives of state institutions soon

President John Dramani Mahama has cautioned government appointees to maintain discipline, accountability, and professionalism in their roles. This warning comes as the administration undergoes changes, such as ministerial reshuffles, board dissolutions, and plans to reorganize leadership in certain institutions. The reforms aim to enhance leadership, improve coordination, and ensure appointees stay focused on the administration's policies and priorities.

In a statement by the Executive Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, the government clarified that appointees must perform their duties with integrity, diligence, and humility while following established administrative procedures. It emphasized that any actions or conduct that could weaken government cohesion, undermine institutional authority, or obstruct the execution of government policies will not be tolerated.

The Presidency stressed that holding public office is a privilege and entails the responsibility of serving the interests of the Ghanaian people.

The statement also mentioned that the performance of government appointees will be continually reviewed across all sectors. President Mahama is prepared to take additional measures to protect his administration's effectiveness, integrity, and responsiveness. The Presidency urged all government appointees to collaborate, respect institutional processes, and remain committed to fulfilling the government's mandate.
