Ronald Acuña Jr. shattered records as the Atlanta Braves dispatched the Washington Nationals 9-0 on Wednesday. The star outfielder became the fastest MLB player to amass 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases, achieving this milestone in just 904 games. Sean Murphy contributed with a three-run homer in the sixth inning, breaking a tie.

Acuña subsequently drove in five runs, including his 14th of the season. Acuña stole his 225th base of his career, the 20th of his season. Alfonso Soriano set the previous record at 929 games in 2006. Acuña's three-run homer led to the Braves taking a commanding 6-0 lead. The rain delay in the fourth inning did not disrupt the Braves' dominance. Following the game, the Braves will face the Phillies in a four-game series starting Friday.
