RDA Launches Digital System for Private Housing Schemes

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has introduced and activated the Housing Societies Management System (HSMS) for managing matters related to Private Housing Schemes (PHS) within its jurisdiction. This move, directed by Rawalpindi Division Commissioner and RDA Director General Salman Ghani, aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and streamlined processing of applications.

According to an RDA spokesperson, the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has approved HSMS for implementation at the RDA. Sponsors of private housing schemes can now file applications through the HSMS portal, adhering to the relevant rules and regulations.

The system serves as a centralized platform for submitting, reviewing, and processing applications, thereby minimizing paperwork and ensuring timely resolution of cases. RDA has urged sponsors to submit new applications, modifications, and other valid matters through the HSMS rather than submitting physical applications. Applicants are required to upload all necessary information and supporting documents accurately to prevent unnecessary delays.

The spokesperson emphasized that this system represents a significant step towards digitization, transparency, and improved service delivery in managing private housing schemes. The RDA also solicited cooperation from sponsors and other stakeholders for its smooth implementation and effective functioning.
