Rafizi demands immediate disclosure of Azam Baki shareholding probe

Parti Bersatu Malaysia leader Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has demanded that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim immediately disclose the investigation papers into former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki's share ownership. Rafizi supports ongoing investigations and prosecutions of politicians and public officials who commit criminal acts, but emphasized the need to protect the credibility of enforcement agencies from accusations of political bias.

He expressed concern that recent political tensions could lead to the MACC and other agencies facing dismissal of their anti-corruption efforts as politically motivated. Rafizi urged the Prime Minister to direct the Chief Secretary to the Government to release the investigation findings, stating that it would help to bolster confidence in the enforcement institutions and counter allegations of political motivations behind the ongoing anti-corruption investigations.
