Private or Govt Schools: Who Dominated Rawalpindi Board’s 9th Class Results?

The BISE Rawalpindi 9th Class Results for 2026 revealed a clear distinction between private affiliated institutions and government schools. Affiliated institutions outperformed government schools with a significantly higher pass rate of 60.41% compared to the government's 30.82%, a difference of 29.59 percentage points. The private schools led by a margin of 29.59 percentage points, indicating a strong dominance in educational performance.

Despite government schools enrolling more students - 70,317 compared to private schools' 34,844 - the pass rate remained disappointingly low at 30.82%. This disparity became particularly evident when examining the results by gender. Among male candidates, private schools led with a pass rate of 50.32%, outperforming government schools by 30.97 percentage points.

The gender gap was even wider among female candidates, where private schools recorded a pass rate of 71.90%, surpassing government schools by 32.35 percentage points.

Government schools produced 21,677 successful candidates, slightly more than affiliated institutions' 21,050. However, the performance difference was stark among boys, with affiliated institutions producing 3,460 more successful male students despite having 11,821 fewer male candidates. This suggests a higher efficiency in passing male students among private affiliated institutions.

Overall, Rawalpindi Board declared the SSC Part-I Annual Examination results on September 2, 2026, with a total of 121,739 candidates appearing, of which 45,724 passed, yielding a pass rate of 37.56%. Regular candidates, including those from affiliated institutions, outperformed independent private candidates, highlighting the consistent advantage of the regular examination system over independent private candidates.
