Poco X8 Launches Globally With Huge 8,340mAh Battery and 67W Charging

Poco has introduced the Poco X8 globally, broadening its X-series range to include models other than the Pro and Pro Max released earlier this year. The new device boasts a sizable AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, and an impressive 8,340mAh battery. Additionally, it boasts multiple IP ratings to shield it from dust and water.

The Poco X8 flaunts a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1280 x 2772-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for enhanced scrolling and animation smoothness. It can achieve peak brightness of 3,500 nits, enabling clear visibility even in bright outdoor settings. Weighing 223 grams and measuring 163.45 x 78.27 x 8.6mm, the phone is available in Black, White, and Orange hues.

Equipped with strong protection against dust and water, the Poco X8 carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and supports up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The European market will only receive the 256GB storage variants, while other regions will have three memory configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.

Running Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, the phone is secured by under-display optical fingerprint technology and comes in Black, White, and Orange finishes.

A standout feature of the Poco X8 is its massive 8,340mAh battery. This battery supports 67W wired charging, facilitating rapid recharging of the large capacity. Additionally, it offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, enabling the phone to charge compatible devices. With an estimated 1,600 charge cycles before dropping below 80% of its original capacity, the Poco X8 battery promises longevity. In Europe, the Poco X8 begins at €399.99 for the 8GB + 256GB model, while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at €449.99.
