Parkway’s Brennan Robin to sign with Big 12 cross country team

Parkway’s top distance runner, Brennan Robin, has chosen to join the Oklahoma State Big 12 cross country team for the upcoming four years. Robin, the 2026 Shreveport Times All-Metro Outstanding Track Athlete, announced his decision in November. He visited the Oklahoma State campus and was instantly convinced it was the ideal place for him to pursue college track and field. The supportive culture at Stillwater and the team's consistent dominance throughout the years played a significant role in his decision.

Robin held the title of the fastest 3200-meter runner in the state last year, with a time of 8:54.28, and ranked second-fastest at 1,600 meters. He broke Owen Self's record from the 1960s for both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, setting new records for Shreveport-Bossier. The Louisiana junior achieved the fastest 3,200-meter time by a junior and the second-fastest time in Louisiana history.

Robin finished third at the Running Lane National Championships in 3,200 meters, with a time of 8:46, the fastest time ever recorded by a Louisiana junior and the second-fastest in Louisiana state history.

Robin runs under the guidance of Kent Falting at Parkway. Under Falting's supervision, Robin is ranked as the No. 6 overall recruit in his class based on his 1,600 and 3,200-meter times. Both coaches expressed their pride and excitement about Robin's decision, and Robin is now prepared to transition to Oklahoma State, aiming to become the best runner he can be.
