One year of Ghana Medical Trust Fund: CEO celebrates Akandoh’s leadership and support

The Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has lauded the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, for his guidance, support and dedication as the Fund celebrates its first anniversary. Ms Darko-Opoku highlighted that the Fund's journey involved numerous conversations, meetings, and difficult decisions, with the Minister playing a crucial role in engaging, listening, challenging ideas and providing direction.

She expressed gratitude for the Minister's candor, patience, and willingness to work through tough choices, rather than merely asking if a decision was the best. Ms Darko-Opoku emphasized that the milestone should not be a time to relax, but rather the start of more work and responsibilities. She noted that the Fund still has significant work ahead, including further engagements to advance its mandate.

Ms Darko-Opoku also prayed for the Minister's continued blessings, strength, wisdom, and grace as he leads the health sector.
