Murree Administration Issues Advisory for Tourists

The Murree district administration has recently issued a safety advisory for both tourists and locals, due to the current weather conditions. The administration has strongly advised people to steer clear of unnecessary travel during rainfall, and to drive at slower speeds and be cautious on roads that are slick with water. Furthermore, the public has been urged to avoid proximity to rivers and storm drains, and to refrain from venturing into fast-moving water.

Tourists and residents have been asked to stay away from trees that are weak or bent, and to avoid parking their vehicles near such trees. It is also recommended that their stay near areas that are susceptible to landslides should be limited. In case of any emergency, the administration has directed the public to immediately contact Rescue 1122.

The administration has stated that its emergency resources are currently deployed in the field, in coordination with Rescue 1122 Murree teams. The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and has also warned of potential landslides in mountainous areas. Following the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Murree, all relevant departments are operating actively in the field.
