Missing 42-year-old Fulani herdsman: Family in Dambai calls on IGP after 10 months

The family of a 42-year-old Fulani herdsman, Fuseini Mohammed, from Dambai in the Krachi East Municipality, Oti Region, has been calling on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and other security agencies to intensify their investigation into his disappearance, which occurred nearly ten months ago. Mohammed was reportedly abducted on October 21, 2025, while returning home with his wife around 7:30 PM from Oti Minister’s Residency Road.

The alleged abductors intercepted them in a pickup vehicle, taking him away under the pretense of a police interrogation. However, the family claims to have had no verified information about his whereabouts since the evening of the abduction. Family patriarch Ali Mohammadu, upon speaking to Adom News, pleaded for authorities to assist in finding his son, expressing the family's struggle to cope without their primary breadwinner.

The family's primary concerns include the need for a credible investigation, transparent communication from the authorities, and a determined effort to uncover the truth about what happened to Mohammed and his current location. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has also joined the call for answers, emphasizing the impact of unresolved cases on public safety and the need for increased transparency from security agencies.
