Menudo reunites for 50th anniversary tour: ‘We’re proud to be pioneers’

Menudo, a globally renowned Latino boy band, is set to reunite for a six-day tour marking their 50th anniversary. Established in Puerto Rico during the late 1970s, the group has significantly evolved over five decades to stay relevant and appeal to a younger, more diverse audience. With over 40 performers throughout its run, Menudo has consistently adapted to changing times.

Recently, businessperson Paul Tarnopol selected seven new members for the reunion tour: Rene Farrait, Roy Roselló, Raymond Acevedo, Sergio Gonzales, Ralphy Rodriguez, Ruben Gomez, and Robert Avellanet. The tour will commence on October 10 in Los Angeles and conclude in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 12. The band remains tight-lipped about their setlist, but they did reveal that a motorcycle theme will feature prominently in their production, drawing from their 1981 hit "Súbete A Mi Moto."
