Toxic, released on August 26, received just 0.5 stars from Gautam, while Brahmotsavam garnered a mere 1-star rating. Despite his high number of ratings—over 400 across languages and genres—these lower scores have drawn attention, especially given Toxic's mixed reception from audiences and critics.

Gautam's ratings seem to be independent of his familial connections, as he has also awarded five stars to films like Pokiri and Nenokkadine, starring Mahesh Babu, and praised international films such as Sholay and Knives Out.
