Renowned musician Lionel Richie has been hospitalized following a concert in St. Louis, Missouri, with doctors performing cardiac tests on the 77-year-old. The singer checked himself into a nearby hospital after his performance at The Muny on August 29. Initially, reports suggested Richie was stable and had sought medical attention out of caution.

However, recent updates indicate that he is now in intensive care. According to People magazine, Richie is expected to return home on September 2, though no detailed medical diagnosis has been announced by the singer or his representatives.

Concerns about Richie's health arose during his St. Louis concert when he appeared to struggle during the final number, "All Night Long." He reportedly requested a chair and completed the song while seated. This comes just over two months after another health scare during the opening night of his current tour with Earth, Wind & Fire, where Richie became dizzy and cut his set short.

Subsequent performances were postponed, and he returned to the stage on June 30. The latest incident has reignited concerns about the veteran performer's health, especially as he continues a demanding touring schedule at 77. Despite this, his tour remains largely unaffected, with upcoming shows scheduled in San Francisco, Chicago, Columbus, and a Las Vegas residency.
