John Harbaugh turns to rookie kicker Dominic Zvada in his first season as Giants coach

John Harbaugh, in his first season as the New York Giants coach, has brought in rookie kicker Dominic Zvada from Michigan to replace Tyler Loop, who missed a crucial field goal last season and led to the Ravens missing the playoffs. Harbaugh, who previously coached a team with a rookie kicker and won the Super Bowl, and one with a rookie kicker and was fired, believes Zvada will kick well and is ready to trust him.

Zvada, who was undrafted, beat out holdover Ben Sauls in a kicking competition and has been performing impressively in preseason games.
