Jamaat-e-Islami Launches Education Card Program

The Jamaat-e-Islami-led Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town administration has initiated an education card program, benefiting over 600 students from six public schools by providing them with uniforms, bags, stationery and other educational resources. This announcement came after a similar program was launched in Gulberg Town, with Jamaat-e-Islami expressing their intention to extend the program to 50,000 students spread across their nine town administrations.

At the launch of the Education Card 2026 initiative, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Monem Zafar emphasized that education is the cornerstone of the party's vision for development and reconstruction. Zafar stated that investing in children's education and securing their future is the essence of the party's mission, and that the path to progress and reconstruction will be paved through education.

Monem Zafar praised the town chairman, his team, and the education department, commending their efforts towards the restoration and enhancement of public schools, which have been a key priority since Jamaat-e-Islami gained representation in the town administrations. The JI leader also criticized past governments for sidelining education and expressed concern over the lack of basic facilities in public schools.
