Irish minister says there 'will be a border poll' on united Ireland in future

Ireland’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Helen McEntee, has stated that there will be a border poll on the possibility of a united Ireland at some point in the future. Her comments came in response to criticisms from UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who was recently criticized for suggesting that a referendum on a united Ireland was "off the table."

However, Burnham later pledged his commitment to the Good Friday Agreement, stating that the British Government stands by it. McEntee emphasized that while there may be a border poll in the future, it is ultimately a decision for the people of Northern Ireland to make, and it is only when there is a significant majority in favor that they should move forward with it.
