According to Iran, two oil tankers were forced to abandon their ships in the Strait of Hormuz due to explosions and fires. The Revolutionary Guards stated that punitive measures would be taken against shipping companies using "illegal routes."

The incidents remain unverifiable independently. The Strait of Hormuz has become a central point of contention between Washington and Teheran during the war. Iran has continued to block the passage of ships carrying oil, natural gas, and fertilizer through the strategic waterway, while the US military has successfully escorted vessels along the Omani coast.

The Strait of Hormuz remains open for maritime traffic. Israel's army continues to strike Hezbollah targets in neighboring Lebanon, with the Iranian-supported militia firing two bomb-laden drones at Israeli soldiers in the Ali al-Taher hills in southern Lebanon. Israel's missile strikes were aimed at Hezbollah facilities where they planned attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers, according to the Israeli military.

Lebanon's state news agency NNA confirmed several Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon during the night.
