Iran has launched new attacks against targets in Kuwait, according to the state broadcaster Irib on X. These strikes aimed to respond to "America's crimes" and targeted US military bases in Kuwait, following previous Iranian retaliation against US military installations in Iran after US military strikes in Iran. Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain were all targeted by Iran in the past night, and all three are US allies with US military bases.

After a deadly rocket strike on a wedding in Iran, Iran's Foreign Ministry accused the US of war crimes. A spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry called the attack in the Iranian south coast a "desperate attempt" by the US to hide its failure in the war, sharing a video of the attack site. Iran had already threatened retaliation after the bombing in Kuwait near the coastal city of Sirik.

If those who remain silent tomorrow are not safe, Iran warned, citing the claim that two tankers were forced to abandon their ships due to explosions and fires in the Strait of Hormuz, as reported by Iranian media. Strafmaßnahmen (punitive measures) are planned for shipping companies using "illegitimate routes," according to Iran's announcement.

The incidents so far could not be independently verified, as the Strait of Hormuz has remained largely closed to international shipping due to Iran's threats and attacks on vessels. However, US media reports say the US military escorts ships through the passage between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman successfully. Prior to the war, the Strait of Hormuz was open for shipping traffic.
