The total number of candidates registered for the 2026 examinations was 100,069, compared to 92,876 in the previous year's examination cycle. This represents a 7,193 increase, indicating growing interest in business and technical education. Additionally, the number of examination centres expanded from 1,892 in 2025 to 2,144 in 2026.

Of the 100,069 registered candidates, 97,867 sat for the examinations, reflecting a commendable 97.80 percent attendance rate. A total of 79,504 candidates achieved five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics, which is a notable improvement over the 2025 examination results, where 61,104 candidates (68.18 percent) obtained the same standard.
