Gianni Infantino commends football development drive in Ghana after meeting with Simeon-Okraku

FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Ghana for its ongoing efforts to boost football development during a recent meeting with President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, also serving as the 2nd Vice-President of CAF. The gathering, held in Zürich, focused on exploring opportunities for increased collaboration between FIFA and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as the country continues to fortify the foundations of football at various levels.

In a post on his official Instagram, Infantino emphasized that the discussions centered on "football development talks" and the importance of the GFA's commitment to grassroots and infrastructure development. The FIFA President highlighted Ghana's recent qualification for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, attributing these achievements to the progress made under the leadership of President Simeon-Okraku and his team.

Infantino commended the GFA for its support and dedication to football development, underscoring the role of football as a source of hope and opportunity for young people in Ghana.
