GCC condemns Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

Doha, Qatar - Qatar has firmly denounced Iran's recent strikes on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, calling them a direct assault on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of those nations. The attacks, according to Qatar, represent a grave breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and principles of good neighborliness.

In a statement on Wednesday, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the attacks risk complicating ongoing de-escalation efforts and undermining diplomatic and political initiatives to restore security and stability in the region. The ministry firmly holds Iran responsible for these actions, both legally and factually.

Qatar reiterated its full support for the neighboring countries and called for all appropriate measures to protect their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. The ministry urged an immediate cessation of all military actions and attacks that threaten regional security and stability. It urged all parties to avoid actions that could escalate the conflict and implore parties to return to dialogue, negotiations, and adherence to diplomatic understandings.
