Frank Warren gives major Anthony Joshua contract update with Tyson Fury in location limbo

Frank Warren revealed that Anthony Joshua has yet to sign the contract for his upcoming all-British fight with Tyson Fury, despite Tyson Fury suggesting that the highly anticipated matchup was close to being officially announced. Fury posted a mock-up image on Instagram suggesting the fight would take place in New York City, but Joshua's camp prefers Wembley Stadium for the event, which would allow for the presence of a home crowd.

However, Warren has clarified that Tyson Fury has already signed the contract, which does not depend on the location of the fight. The Queensberry chief stated that "The Gypsy King" is now just waiting on Joshua's signature. Anthony Joshua has not signed the contract yet, and the upcoming arrangements are now governed by the contracts that need to be amended.

Fury had initially agreed to the fight as early as January, but due to Joshua's involvement in a car crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his close friends in December, the date of the fight was pushed back. Both fighters have since returned from their warm-up fights, with Fury defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov by decision in April and stopping Mariusz Wach in Thailand in July.

Joshua, on the other hand, narrowly escaped injury after a scare during his bout with Kristian Prenga that same month.
