FitzMark’s latest broker acquisition adds trade show logistics capabilities

Freight brokerage firm FitzMark has expanded its services by acquiring United Transportation Services (UTS), a company specializing in trade show logistics. UTS, based in Aurora, Colorado, was founded in 1998 and offers a range of transportation and warehousing services to the retail and hospitality sectors. FitzMark, headquartered in Indianapolis, provides brokerage services and a proprietary transportation management system to over 3,000 shippers and 25,000 carriers, and is backed by private equity firm Calera Capital.

Bruce Parsons, CEO and president of UTS, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that the national support and strength of the FitzMark platform will enable the company to grow its capacity and service offerings while expanding its shipper community. FitzMark founder and CEO Scott Fitzgerald welcomed Bruce and the UTS team to the firm, highlighting the shared core values of the two businesses.

This acquisition is FitzMark's 11th since its founding in 2006, demonstrating the company's commitment to scaling through consolidation in the industry. The strategic move diversifies FitzMark's 3PL portfolio by integrating high-touch trade show logistics and expanded warehousing services.
