Finance minister attends G20 meeting in Asheville, stresses economic resilience

Gifty Dumelo, the wife of Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture John Dumelo, has expressed her heartfelt emotions upon the passing of their esteemed colleague, the late former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Ibrahim Adam. In a poignant Facebook post, Mrs. Dumelo lamented the suddenness of death, describing it as a cruel act, and reminisced about their numerous conversations and shared gossip sessions.

She mourned the loss, stating, "Oh how I miss you already death is so cruel... I will miss our long conversations and gossips."

Mrs. Dumelo fondly recalled a conversation they had about their fortunate family situation, with both her parents and John Dumelo being in-laws to the late Minister and his deputy. The former minister's assignment to the Agric Ministry, where he rose to become a minister, intrigued them all. She remarked, "I remember our conversation about how fortunate my parents are to have had two MPs and Ministers as in-laws.

What intrigued us the most was the fact that you both were assigned to the same Ministry (Agric) you were deputy and rose to Minister and now John filling your position as Deputy... life hmmm."

Mrs. Dumelo paid tribute to the late Ibrahim Adam, calling him a "legend" and emphasizing that his memory will forever be cherished by their family. She concluded her heartfelt tribute, saying, "You were a legend and we will forever hold you dearly in our hearts. Hon. Adam Ibrahim our Hero rest in power."
