FCT administration to finish all ongoing projects before 2027 — Wike

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has vowed that all capital projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu's administration in Nigeria's capital will be completed before the administration's tenure ends in 2027. During a media briefing in Port Harcourt, Wike highlighted that 107 projects started under Tinubu's leadership have been commissioned, with 76 already completed.

He revealed that 10 more projects will be launched before the January elections, with the remaining projects expected to be finished before the administration's end. Wike also pointed out that the FCT administration has made significant strides in completing projects inherited from previous administrations, with 23 of the 25 projects from former President Muhammadu Buhari completed and two ongoing.

Additionally, the administration has completed six out of eight projects inherited from former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, with two still under construction. Wike challenged critics to compare the infrastructure development under Tinubu's administration with those of previous governments, asserting that no government in the history of the FCT has achieved what the current administration has accomplished in Abuja.
