Dr Bawumia urges new NPP Ashanti Regional executives to prioritise inclusion for 2028 victory

Former Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, convened a private meeting with newly elected Ashanti Regional executives at his Accra office. The gathering included the newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA. This meeting is part of Dr Bawumia's series of engagements with all recently elected regional leaders following the party's regional elections.

During the meeting, Dr Bawumia emphasized the importance of inclusion and unity within the party to secure victory in both the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections. He urged the new Ashanti leadership to involve all stakeholders, including those who lost the elections. Dr Bawumia stated, "I reiterate my call for unity and the inclusion of all stakeholders, including those who were not elected, for the task ahead because 2028 will require all hands on deck."

He further highlighted that the reorganization effort from polling stations to regional levels is a crucial step towards building a strong vehicle to reclaim power in 2028. Both Dr Bawumia and COKA pledged their commitment to strengthening the NPP and securing victory in the upcoming elections. Dr Bawumia has since met with numerous elected regional leaders, including those from the Greater Accra, Central, Western, and Savannah regions.
