Dodgers Endure Blowout Loss to Kick Off 9-Game Home Stand

Mookie Betts, who had previously driven in the Dodgers' first three runs, came through with another double in the bottom of the fifth, helping to plate a run.

The Cardinals' scoring continued, culminating in a fifth home run by rookie sensation Joshua Baez in the seventh inning, which extended their lead to seven runs again. Will Smith, returning to the lineup, added to the tension by driving in a run with a double in the bottom of the seventh, bringing the Cardinals' lead to six.
