Degel HaTorah leader Rabbi Lando says haredim only need to rely on God, not any prime minister

Rabbi Dov Lando, leader of Degel HaTorah, declared on Wednesday that the Haredi community relies solely on God and not on any prime minister. Speaking to thousands in Tiberias, he stated that they depend only on the Creator of the world. Lando expressed hope and prayer that God will have mercy on His people, especially the Torah community.

He criticized modern Orthodox members who support enlisting yeshiva students in the army, arguing that the state wagers in wars not just for life-saving reasons, but also for the state's honor. Lando questioned if sending soldiers to war for honor is permissible, considering the actual act of murder involved. He further accused those waging wars, including some in the modern Orthodox community, of inciting to murder.
