Darshan Jariwala Hits Back At Estranged Wife Apara Mehta's 'Ugliest Woman' Claim: 'She's Playing Character Of A Nice, Wronged Victim'

Actor Darshan Jariwala has dismissed his estranged wife Apara Mehta's recent claims that he called her the "ugliest woman" he had ever seen. The star actor described her recollection as a "case of false memory" and questioned why the controversy was being brought up after more than two decades of separation.

Jariwala stated, "What he said, that's not what happened." He added that he is not of the kind who would insult someone's appearance, even if she was "plain-looking". He further explained that if they had serious discussions during their relationship, talking about physical appearance would have been irrelevant. He preferred discussing a person's character over their looks.

The separation had been agreed upon by mutual consent, but Jariwala alleged that Mehta altered her stance in court, leading to the dismissal of the divorce papers due to lack of consent. He questioned why she was now playing the role of a "nice, wronged victim" after so many years of their relationship.

Mehta had told Hauterrfly that she called Jariwala on their wedding anniversary, discussing their last conversation before separation. She stated that he told her, "You know, Apara, we need to separate because I've fallen out of love with you. I do not like you anymore, and you are the ugliest woman I've come across in my life."

However, Jariwala claimed that Mehta returned from the USA after her tour, adding that she was reportedly threatened with replacement in a popular TV show where she played an iconic character. He confirmed that he is in a new relationship, and Mehta is aware of it.
