CD Projekt Red sees profit climb 37% in H1 2026

CD Projekt Red reported a significant increase in financial performance in the first half of 2026, with revenue climbing 23% year-over-year to $116.5 million (435 million PLN). Net profit also rose by 37% to $66.7 million (249 million PLN), resulting in impressive net profitability of 57.2%. The company outlined a three-year The Witcher release plan, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launching on multiple platforms, including a native version for Nintendo Switch 2.

This version will be free for existing owners of the base game and include all prior expansions. CD Projekt Red also announced a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, making The Witcher 3 and the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion available on Battle.net. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 65 million copies, while the series overall has surpassed 90 million copies sold.

Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed 40 million copies sold, with the Phantom Liberty expansion generating 15 million sales in less than three years. Additionally, Night City has appeared in Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends this year, while a Cyberpunk trading card game broke Kickstarter's record as the most-funded project ever. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, co-produced with Studio Trigger, is set for release on Netflix on October 20.

The company's CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, noted that licensing is becoming increasingly important to the company's results, alongside continued sales from both franchises. In May, CD Projekt Red revealed a slight 6% revenue increase during its first quarter, with the announcement of the third expansion for 2015's The Witcher 3.
