Campania, dalla Regione via libera ai sostegni per 20 “Academy di filiera”

The Campania Region is providing funding for the first 20 "Industry Academy" programs, which aim to bridge the gap between training and employment, by developing skills aligned with the region's production system. This investment totals 32 million euros from the PR Campania FSE+ 2021-2027, following the approval of the Graduations for the Campania Academy Industry (CAI) public call - "Train for Work".

The grant will support paths aimed at updating and specialising existing employees and in training unemployed and underemployed individuals, with a focus on integrating into industries of reference. These academies will cover strategic sectors crucial to the Campanian economy: agroalimentary, construction, green economy, ICT, mechatronics, health, textile-apparel-shoes, transportation, and tourism.

The initiative aims to build a training offer based on real labour market needs, directing paths towards the skills actually required. The goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises, raise the quality of work, and foster the emergence of true skills hubs in support of the various productive sectors. Regional Labour and Training Deputy Angelica Saggese declared, "With the first 20 Academies, we have taken an important step towards a training system increasingly close to the needs of work and the development of Campania.

One of the challenges we face is reducing the distance that still exists between the professional profiles sought by businesses and the available skills. That is why we want to invest in a training that has a concrete perspective: offering people greater employment and career growth opportunities, while also making available the professional skills necessary to support growth, innovation, and competitiveness for businesses.
