Busan film fest ticket sales to begin Sept. 17

SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- The ticket sales for events of the annual Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will commence this month, organizers announced on Wednesday. The schedules for movie screenings are expected to be revealed later in the week, according to the BIFF organizing committee. Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as special events like outdoor screenings, overnight screenings, and discussions with invited actors, will go on sale at 2 p.m. on Sept.

17. Tickets for all other film screenings will be available for purchase at 2 p.m. on Sept. 21, with the complete schedule to be announced at 5 p.m. the following Friday. All ticket sales will be accessible through BIFF's official website, except for remaining and canceled tickets, and a limited number of tickets reserved for visitors aged 65 and older, as well as those with disabilities.

The 31st edition of BIFF, the country's largest film festival, is scheduled to take place from Oct. 6 to 15 in Busan, a city in southeastern South Korea.
