Bolte’s first career multihomer game leads Athletics over Rangers 9-2

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Henry Bolte achieved his first career multihomer game, along with Zack Gelof, Jonah Heim, and Alika Williams. The Athletics scored nine runs without interruption, defeating the Texas Rangers 9-2 on Wednesday.

Bolte scored his first homer in the third inning, equalizing the game at three. Gelof extended the Athletics’ lead to three runs with a solo home run. Bolte added another two-run homer in the fourth inning, solidifying the team’s advantage. Heim, returning to Globe Life Field, drove in three runs with a solo homer. Alika Williams closed out the scoring with a two-run homer in the fifth inning and an RBI double in the seventh inning.

Jacob Lopez pitched six innings, striking out seven and allowing only six hits. Over his last ten starts, he maintains a 2.28 ERA and has recorded 61 strikeouts over 51 1/3 innings. Ezequiel Durán and Justin Foscue contributed with solo home runs for the Rangers. Durán achieved his first career leadoff homer. Cody Bradford allowed five runs, all coming from homers, in four innings for Texas. The Athletics will face the Seattle Mariners in a three-game series starting Thursday.
