Bedrohung aus Russland: Kreml erzürnt über deutsche Sanktionen nach Drohnen-Vorfall

Tensions between Berlin and Moscow have once again intensified following a failed attempt to strike the Leipzig/Halle Airport with a bomb-laden drone. Russian President Vladimir Putin labeled Germany's sanctions against his country as "serious mistakes" and accused them of falsifying evidence. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced retaliatory measures in response.

The EU and NATO are also discussing the drone incident, blaming Germany for the incident. The EU Foreign Ministers' meeting in Ireland is expected to discuss potential European responses. Germany had announced a range of retaliatory measures against Russia, including closing the Russian House in Berlin, which is suspected to be a cover for espionage, and the General Consulate in Bonn.

There will also be stricter entry controls for Russians and harsher measures against the Russian shadow fleet. Germany's Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt described the situation as being under constant threat from "hybrid warfare," which includes a mix of military, economic, intelligence, and propaganda tactics. Putin accused the German government of staging a political maneuver during the election season, stating that there are no proofs for his accusations.

The Russian ambassador to Berlin claimed that the accusations are "absurd" and called the drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport a "hasty provocation." Germany's retaliatory measures are expected to escalate tensions in German-Russian relations and have consequences.
