Balochistan Completes Rs. 3 Billion Railway Project in 120 Days

The project encompassed the rehabilitation and upgrade of a 32-kilometer stretch of railway track between Sariab and Kuchlak. In addition to track improvement, efforts were also made to reinforce and fortify the railway embankments. Construction of new turntables at both Sariab and Kuchlak stations was also part of the project, along with their installation and commissioning.

Sariab Railway Station saw an upgrade to its passenger facilities, while Kuchlak Railway Station also received modern amenities. The project also included the enhancement of Sheikh Mandah Railway Station and improvements at Beleli Railway Station. G.O.R Halt Railway Station underwent reconstruction, accompanied by solarization and electrical work.

New furniture and benches were installed to enhance passenger comfort. Quetta Railway Station received an upgrade, along with construction and finishing work at Lori Kraz Halt Railway Station.

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi announced that the Jinnah Peoples Train would soon commence operations on the newly upgraded route.
