Arkadian completes 2026 field work at Motzfeldt project

On Tuesday, Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc announced the completion of its 2026 field programme at the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in South Greenland. The company collected four bulk samples, each weighing between 500-600 kg, from the Aries mineral resource area. These samples were airlifted to Narsarsuaq and are now en route to the UK for further mineralogical and mineral-processing analysis.

Hyperspectral scans were conducted at the Merino and Voskop target areas, with point-spectra data gathered at Aries. Photogrammetry was also completed across all three target areas. The field measurements were carried out by TheiaX GmbH, utilizing hyperspectral cameras at specific locations. At Aries, 198 points across 40 locations were surveyed for spectral responses related to neodymium, aiding in the calibration of satellite data.

The chosen sample sites were situated within a north-south-trending mineralized zone identified through historical mapping. The tantalum response was utilized as a targeting indicator for pyrochlore-bearing mineralization. Environmental baseline studies were performed at potential infrastructure sites by Danish consultants BioApp ApS, who recorded flora and fauna and established baseline environmental conditions.

Bathymetric surveys were also carried out at two potential port locations. The subsequent metallurgical test work programme's scope will be decided following a technical review. Arkadian holds a 51% stake in the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project and also operates projects in Wales, including Clogau, Dolgellau Gold Exploration, and Gwynfynydd.
