Abu Dhabi opens 1,500 new homes for booking as housing grant beneficiaries get first priority

NYU Abu Dhabi's Stern School of Business has introduced an executive MBA program aimed at refining the skills of experienced professionals. This marks the first time the prestigious business school is offering such a program outside of New York. Dean Rob Salomon has been working on the program for six years, tailoring the curriculum to the unique needs of the MENA region.

The inaugural cohort of 37 students comes from 21 different nationalities and brings diverse leadership experiences from sectors like finance, consulting, healthcare, and government. The program's monthly meetings and week-long residencies at various NYU locations allow executives to continue working while pursuing their degree.

Salomon, an NYU alumnus with a master's and PhD in international business, believes Abu Dhabi is an ideal location for an executive MBA due to the UAE's recent economic diversification efforts. He aims to capitalize on the growing demand for high-quality management education in the region, particularly as technology, finance, and AI become increasingly important.

The program focuses on teaching both hard and soft skills necessary for effective leadership in today's dynamic business environment. Salomon emphasizes that while technical skills may become more commoditized in an AI-driven world, human-centered skills like communication and teamwork will remain crucial for success. The executive MBA program seeks to prepare UAE's top talent to lead at home and abroad, bridging the gap between regional developments and global business trends.

This marks the beginning of Stern at NYUAD's expanded presence in Abu Dhabi, following the launch of its full-time MBA program the previous year.
