Sixty-seven people were injured when two passenger buses collided on the Kumasi-Accra Highway, near Duapompo on Sunday night, according to the Ghana National Fire Service. The crash took place around 10:31 p.m. on August 30, 2026. The involved vehicles were a VIP coach owned by Chairman ION and a KN KIA passenger bus owned by KOD Transport.
Both buses were carrying 34 passengers each, making a total of 68 people. The incident was reported by the Ghana National Fire Service.
