‘You just move forward’: Greenland Energy oil exploration delayed by a year

In mid-August, Greenland Energy Co. encountered a delay in their oil exploration plans for Greenland's Jameson Land Basin. The company's chief executive, Robert Price, said that authorities in Greenland needed more time to review the plans. As a result, equipment was put into storage and plans were set aside for a year, with the delay expected to continue until November or December of 2027.

Greenland Energy is still pursuing the exploration in the area covered by pre-existing licenses held by its joint-venture partner, 80 Mile PLC. Price emphasized that the delay is not insurmountable and that the company remains committed to the long-term project in Greenland.
