‘You figure out, fail and win’: Dulquer Salmaan reveals best advice from father Mammootty

Mammootty, the renowned Malayalam actor, is known for his hands-off approach when it comes to his son Dulquer Salmaan's career. Despite his influence and ability to secure top-tier filmmakers and financial backing for Dulquer, Mammootty never interfered in his son's career decisions. In fact, Dulquer's debut film, Second Show (2012), was directed by a debutant, Srinath Rajendran, and starred other newcomers in lead roles.

Recently, during a promotional event for his upcoming movie, I'm Game, Dulquer shared the best piece of advice he received from his father. Mammootty advised his son to figure things out on his own, face failures, and celebrate his victories. He compared his role to a safety net, ready to catch Dulquer if he stumbled. Dulquer emphasized that his father does not dictate his actions but is always there as a support system. This guidance, according to Dulquer, is his greatest blessing.
