UAE Announces 5-Year Golden Residency for Outstanding High School Students

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a five-year Golden Residency permit for exceptional secondary school students, allowing them and their families to reside in the country without needing a sponsor. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) administers the Golden Residency program, which aims to draw in talented individuals to support the country's future growth.

To qualify for this program, students must submit a recommendation letter from the UAE Ministry of Education and demonstrate academic excellence by achieving a score of 95% or higher. Along with these documents, applicants must also provide certificates that attest to their outstanding academic performance and recommendation letters from their school or university.

In addition to high school students, the UAE Golden Residency is open to other eligible groups, such as talented professionals and outstanding graduates. The length of the residency permit depends on the applicant's category, with five-year and 10-year permits being available. Unlike regular residency permits, Golden Residency offers eligible individuals the opportunity to live in the UAE for an extended period without depending on an employer or individual sponsor.
