Titans pull Jared Stillman’s media credential after testy back-and-forth with Cam Ward

Jared Stillman, a radio host and podcaster, had his media credential revoked by the Tennessee Titans following a testy exchange with quarterback Cam Ward over the preseason performance. The incident was first reported by Titans beat reporter Paul Kuharsky. During the incident, Stillman asked Ward about how he performed during the preseason, to which Ward responded by asking Stillman to evaluate the performances himself. Stillman replied, "Not well," leading to a back-and-forth between the two.

Kuharsky, who has covered the Titans since 1996, noted that Stillman's irregular presence at the team events distinguishes him from most credentialled media members who cover the team regularly. The Titans, however, can choose who they want to credential and grant facilities access to, particularly for independent media like Stillman.

Kuharsky believes that while Stillman can be revoked due to his irregular presence at team events, the team should provide an explanation for the revocation to avoid creating a chilling effect for other reporters, especially independent members of the press.
