‘They told me I won’t see my husband alive’ – Widow of Plateau clergy killed by bandits

The widow of a Plateau State clergyman, Pastor Emmanuel Hills, shared her harrowing experience of being abducted and later killed by bandits. According to her, the gunmen, who were Fulani, taunted her, warning that she would never see her husband alive again. The incident occurred on Friday, August 28, when the gunmen intercepted a vehicle carrying Pastor Hills, his wife, and other passengers as they traveled from Jos to Bokkos.

The bandits singled out the clergyman, Pastor Gabriel Dipak, and a few others, while the rest of the passengers were robbed of their valuables. In a viral video, Mrs Hills recounted the harrowing ordeal, stating that the bandits were confident about their plan, which proved true when the body of Pastor Hills was discovered the following morning near the scene of the kidnapping.
