Thai influencers find empty watch box inside damaged suitcase, case stalls

Two Thai social media influencers sought legal assistance after luxury watches valued at 610,000 baht vanished from their checked baggage during a flight from Bangkok to Krabi. Araya Trongklang and Kunlanan Udomphan shared a video on August 21 revealing their search for the missing items after retrieving their luggage at Krabi Airport.

The disappearance of the Cartier and Hermes watches prompted the couple to file a police complaint, hoping to access CCTV footage from the airport. However, 10 days had passed without any progress in the investigation, leaving Araya concerned about the lack of justice. The influencers later contacted Thai lawyer Ronnarong Kaewphet for legal guidance.

During a press conference, they detailed how they noticed the broken zipper on their suitcase upon collection. They decided to check their belongings, only to find the empty watch box. The couple's case is not unique, as similar incidents have been reported recently, including a Thai woman who lost perfume and another who had luxury accessories vanish from her checked baggage during flights.
