Telangana SIR: Special campaigns for claims, objections on four days in September

Election officials in Telangana are launching special campaigns over four days in September to handle claims and objections related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. These campaigns, each lasting two days, will take place at all polling stations in the state, according to a statement from the Chief Electoral Officer.

The campaigns are set to run from September 5-6 and September 12-13. Residents can visit their local polling stations during these days to verify their details on the draft roll, apply for vote shifting, or request deletions using Forms 6, 7, and 8. Booth-level officers will be present to assist with the process, ensuring compliance with Election Commission of India guidelines.

The deadline for submitting claims and objections is September 16. Simultaneously, the usual method of lodging claims and objections at Electoral Registration Officers' offices will continue. All communications should be in English and follow community guidelines, including posting abusive or personal remarks.
