Technical faults found in 6 of 11 electric buses sent to Murree

Rawalpindi authorities have discovered technical issues with six out of the 11 electric buses dispatched to Murree through the Green Bus Electric Bus project initiated by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Recognizing the problem, Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, along with a technical team, promptly conducted an inspection of the buses and promptly submitted a letter to the transport secretary, mandating their immediate repair and restoration to full operational condition.

According to officials, Chinese engineers are scheduled to arrive in Murree to diagnose the technical faults, perform an all-encompassing inspection, and effect the necessary repairs. Deputy Commissioner has issued a stern directive ensuring that none of the buses will be permitted to traverse the roads until they receive a technical certificate of compliance.

The district administration emphasized that every conceivable precautionary measure is being implemented to safeguard the public from any inconvenience or provision of substandard service. Once the buses are deemed fit, the administration promises to enhance the travel experience for citizens and tourists under the Green Bus project.

In June, under special instructions from the Punjab CM, 11 electric buses were transferred to the Murree district administration with the aim of mitigating environmental pollution and delivering contemporary, secure, and comfortable transportation solutions to residents and visitors.
